Hearing Screening Questionnaire
Answer based on your everyday experience — at home, at work, at family functions and festivals. There are no right or wrong answers.
Tone Hearing Test
This simplified tone test screens each ear across five frequencies. For best results:
- For separate left/right ear screening, headphones or earphones are strongly recommended
- Set your device volume to a comfortable, normal level and don't change it during the test
- Tap "Play Tone". If you cannot hear it, choose "I can't hear it — raise level", then play again
Before starting, make sure your selected listening device is connected and tap the button below. You should hear a clear 1000 Hz tone. If you do not, check the device output, browser/tab mute setting and connection, then tap again.

Clinical Methodology
Auralis combines two screening components to give you an indicative — not diagnostic — picture of your hearing:
- Questionnaire (0–30): 10 items adapted for everyday Indian listening situations — family functions, festivals, phone calls and group conversation — scored Never (0) to Always (3).
- Tone test: a simplified ascending-level pure-tone check at 500, 1000, 2000, 4000 and 8000 Hz in each ear, similar in spirit to clinical pure-tone audiometry but calibrated to your device's own volume, not a certified audiometer.
Your final result takes the more cautious of the two component outcomes. Any result suggesting moderate or significant concern should be followed up with a comprehensive evaluation by a certified audiologist or ENT specialist.
